WHAT IS MAULID?

Maulid, in this case, the birthday of the Prophet is a series of events consisting of reading the Koran, reading the history of the Prophets and reading verses of praise to the Prophet. Then is the event illegal or is it a commendable act? As dozens of them, will the perpetrators get a torment or will they get a reward? At the beginning of his introduction, Imam As-Suyuthi answered: “in my view, celebration Maulid is a series of events that can be held in the community which consists of reading the Koran, reading history, and signs of the birth of the Prophet after the event, usually there is a banquet of food, then they return to their respective homes, no more than that. And also celebrations like this include heresy Hasanah point. Therefore, the perpetrator will get a reward because he has glorified the degree of the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wasallam. He has also shown his pride and joy at the birth of the Prophet Shallallahu Alaihi Wasallam”.

IF IN THE NETWORK OF THE MAULID EVENTS THERE IS AN EVIL, IS THE CELEBRATION STILL LEGAL THE MAULID?

If in the series of Mawlid events tucked in munkar acts like a man mixed with women, as is the tradition in some countries, then if the munkar act can be avoided and the Maulid event can be carried out purely without going hand in hand with munkar, then the law is allowed. But if it can’t be avoided then the law is not allowed, because avoiding Mafsadah is more important than taking benefits for this reason too, if the Maulid event series is made up of positive things, such as the reading of the holy verses of the Quran and also the hadith of the Prophet, then the event is recommended by Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala said in surah al-hal verse 77 which means: And do good deeds, so that You got the win.

MENTION THE PROPOSALS THAT SHOW THE LEGALITY OF THE MAULID PROPHET CELEBRATION

Substantially, the arguments that show the legality of the celebrations following the Prophet are the ones that show the legality of the series of events that take place in it itself. And the series of events that took place in the Prophet’s birthday are as follows:

• -          Opening Reading of the holy verses of the Quran and Sholawat.
• -          Reading about the history of Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam.
• -          Stand at the time of the reading of history with the theme of the birth of Rasulullah Sallallahu       Alaihi Wasallam with enthusiasm in celebrating the event of his birth.
• -         Itikaf in the mosque (if the event is held in the mosque) Recitation of poems in praise of the Prophet Shallallahu Alaihi Wasallam.
• -         Dzikir to Allah Subhanahu Wata’ala together.
• -         Mauidhoh Hasanah Pray to Allah Subhanahu Wata’ala.
• -         Closing.

The arguments that show the legality of the series of events above are numerous and do not need to be mentioned because the event has spread and is known to the general public, except that the event was held during a historical reading with the theme of the birth of the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam and recitation of poetry in praise of the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam.
