DAILY PRAYERS

      Prayer Is the most essential element in worship. As the Prophet said, "Do'a is worship" and "There is nothing most noble in the sight of Allah, apart from praying to Him, we are in a state of air."

In carrying out daily activities, Muslims are also encouraged to offer prayers so that the activities carried out receive blessings from Allah SWT. All activities carried out every day should begin and end with prayer.

These daily prayers are usually relatively short and easy to memorize. Children have usually been taught to know and memorize these daily prayers early on, and are also accustomed to practicing them in daily activities.

     Here are some collections of prayers that we can chant daily And we can also memorize

•        Bedtime Prayer

بِسْمِكَ االلّٰهُمَّ اَحْيَا وَبِاسْمِكَ اَمُوْتُ

Bismikallaahumma ahyaa wa ammuut

It means: "By the name of God, I live and I die"

•        Wake Up Prayer

اَلْحَمْدُ ِللهِ الَّذِىْ اَحْيَانَا بَعْدَمَآ اَمَاتَنَا وَاِلَيْهِ النُّشُوْر

Alhamdu lillahil ladzii ahyaanaa ba'da maa amaa tanaa wa ilahin nusyuuru

It means: "All praise be to God who has brought us to life after we die (awakening from sleep) and only to Him are we returned"

•       Prayer in the Bathroom

اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنّىْ اَعُوْذُبِكَ مِنَ الْخُبُثِ وَالْخَبَآئِثِ

Allahumma Innii a'uudzubika minal khubutsi wal khoaaitsi

It means: "O God, I take refuge in Thee from the temptations of male demons and female demons"

•       Prayer Out of the Bathroom

غُفْرَانَكَ الْحَمْدُ ِللهِ الَّذِىْ اَذْهَبَ عَنّى اْلاَذَى وَعَافَانِىْ

Ghufraanakal hamdu lillaahil ladzii adzhaba 'annil adzaa wa 'aafaanii

It means: "In the hope of your forgiveness, all praise belongs to Allah who has removed impurities from my body and who has prospered"

•       Prayer When Looking in the Mirror

الحمدلله الذي كما حسنا خلفية فحسن خلقي

Alhamdulillaahi kamaa hassanta kholqii fahassin khuluqii

It means: "Praise be to God, good my ethics as You have displaced my face"

• Out of the House Prayer

بِسْمِ اللهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ عَلَى اللهِ لاَحَوْلَ وَلاَقُوَّةَ اِلاَّ بِالله

Bismillaahi tawakkaltu 'alalloohi laa hawlaa walaa quwwata illaa bilaahi

It means: "By calling upon the name of God I am incumbent upon God, without strength but with the help of God."

•       Home Entrance Prayer

اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنّىْ اَسْأَلُكَ خَيْرَالْمَوْلِجِ وَخَيْرَالْمَخْرَجِ بِسْمِ اللهِ وَلَجْنَا وَبِسْمِ اللهِ خَرَجْنَا وَعَلَى اللهِ رَبّنَا تَوَكَّلْنَا

Allahumma innii as-aluka khoirol mauliji wa khoirol makhroji bismillaahi wa lajnaa wa bismillaahi khorojnaa wa'alallohi robbina tawakkalnaa

It means: "O Allah, verily I beseech thee both the place of entry and the good of the place of exit by saying the name of Allah we enter, and by calling the name of Allah we go out and to the God of our Lord, we are manned."

•       Prayer For Useful Knowledge

اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّى اَسْأَلُكَ عِلْمًا نَافِعًا وَرِزْقًا طَيِّبًا وَعَمَلاً مُتَقَبَّلاً

Allahumma innii as-aluka 'ilmaan naafi'aan wa rizqoon thoyyibaan wa 'amalaan mutaqobbalaan

It means: "O Allah, verily I beseech thee useful knowledge, good rezki and good charity Accepted. (H.R. Ibn Majah)"

•       Prayer Before Studying

يَارَبِّ زِدْنِىْ عِلْمًا وَارْزُقْنِىْ فَهْمًا

Yaa robbi zidnii 'ilman warzuqnii fahmaa

It means: "O Allah, add me knowledge and give me rizqi of understanding"

•        Prayer After Learning

اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّى اِسْتَوْدِعُكَ مَاعَلَّمْتَنِيْهِ فَارْدُدْهُ اِلَىَّ عِنْدَ حَاجَتِىْ وَلاَ تَنْسَنِيْهِ يَارَبَّ الْعَالَمِيْنَ

Allaahumma innii astaudi'uka maa 'allamtaniihi fardud-hu ilayya 'inda haajatii wa laa tansaniihi yaa robbal 'alamiin

It means: "O God, verily I entrust to thee the knowledge which thou hast taught me, and return to me as I need to return and thou shalt not forget me to that knowledge, O Lord the call of nature."

•        Prayer Before Ablution

نَوَيْتُ الْوُضُوْءَ لِرَفْعِ الْحَدَثِ اْلاَصْغَرِ فَرْضًا لِلّٰهِ تَعَالَى

Nawaitul whudu-a lirof'il hadatsii ashghori fardhon lillaahi ta'aalaa

It means: "I intend ablution to eliminate the little hadast fardu (obligatory) because of Allah ta'ala"

•        Prayer After Ablution

اَشْهَدُ اَنْ لاَّاِلَهَ اِلاَّاللهُ وَحْدَهُ لاَشَرِيْكَ لَهُ وَاَشْهَدُ اَنَّ مُحَمَّدًاعَبْدُهُ وَرَسُوْلُهُ. اَللّٰهُمَّ اجْعَلْنِىْ مِنَ التَّوَّابِيْنَ وَاجْعَلْنِىْ مِنَ الْمُتَطَهِّرِيْنَ، وَجْعَلْنِيْ مِنْ عِبَادِكَ الصَّالِحِيْنَ

Asyhadu allaa ilaaha illalloohu wahdahuu laa syariika lahu wa asyhadu anna muhammadan 'abduhuuwa rosuuluhuu, alloohummaj'alnii minat tawwaabiina waj'alnii minal mutathohhiriina, waj'alnii min 'ibadikash shaalihiina.

It means: "I testify, there is no God but Allah Almighty, no ally to Him, and I confess that the Prophet Muhammad was a servant and Messenger of Allah. O Allah, make me of the class of those who repent and make me of the class of the holy ones and make me of the class of thy shaleh servants"

•        Prayer Before Reading the Quran

اَللّٰهُمَّ افْتَحْ عَلَىَّ حِكْمَتَكَ وَانْشُرْ عَلَىَّ رَحْمَتَكَ وَذَكِّرْنِىْ مَانَسِيْتُ يَاذَاالْجَلاَلِ وَاْلاِكْرَامِ

Allahummaftah 'alayya hikmataka wansyur 'alayya rohmataka wa dzakkirnii maanasiitu yaa dzal jalaali wal ikhroomi

It means: "O Allah open your wisdom to me, extend your mercy to me and remind me of what I have forgotten, O Dzat who has majesty and glory."

•  Prayer After Reading the Qur'an

اَللّٰهُمَّ ارْحَمْنِىْ بِالْقُرْآنِ. وَاجْعَلْهُ لِىْ اِمَامًا وَنُوْرًا وَّهُدًى وَّرَحْمَةً. اَللّٰهُمَّ ذَكِّرْنِىْ مِنْهُ مَانَسِيْتُ وَعَلِّمْنِىْ مِنْهُ مَاجَهِلْتُ. وَارْزُقْنِىْ تِلاَ وَتَهُ آنَآءَ اللَّيْلِ وَاَطْرَافَ النَّهَارٍ. وَاجْعَلْهُ لِىْ حُجَّةً يَارَبَّ الْعَالَمِيْنَ

Allahummarhamnii bil qur'aani. Waj'alhu lii imaaman wa nuuran wa hudan wa rohman. Allahumma dzakkirnii minhu maa nasiitu wa'allimnii minhu maa jahiltu. Wazuqnii tilaa watahu aanaa-al laili wa athroofan nahaari. Waj'alhu lii hujjatan yaa robbal 'aalamiina.

It means: "O Allah, mercy me with the great Quran, make it for me to follow the light of the instruction of mercy. O Allah, remind me what I have forgotten and teach me what I do not know from it, bestow upon me the opportunity to read it at some night and day, make it a strong hujjah for me, O Lord call upon all nature."

•  Prayer Before Bathing

اَللّٰهُمَّ اغْفِرْلِى ذَنْبِى وَوَسِّعْ لِى فِىْ دَارِىْ وَبَارِكْ لِىْ فِىْ رِزْقِىْ

WwwAllahummaghfirlii dzambii wa wassi'lii fii daarii wa baarik lii fii rizqii

It means: "O God forgive my sins of iniquity and give me freedom in my house and bless my sustenance."

•        Prayer for Traveling

اَللّٰهُمَّ هَوِّنْ عَلَيْنَا سَفَرَنَا هَذَا وَاطْوِعَنَّابُعْدَهُ اَللّٰهُمَّ اَنْتَ الصَّاحِبُ فِى السَّفَرِوَالْخَلِيْفَةُفِى الْاَهْلِ

Allahumma hawwin 'alainaa safaranaa hadzaa waatwi 'annaa bu'dahu. Alloohumma antashookhibu fiissafari walkholiifatu fiil ahli

It means: "O God, make it easy for us to travel this, and draw near the distance. O God who accompanies in traveling, and You also protect the family."

•        Prayer When You Get to your Destination

اَلْحَمْدُ ِللهِ الَّذِى سَلَمَنِى وَالَّذِى اَوَنِى وَالَّذِى جَمَعَ الشَّمْلَ بِ

Alhamdulillahil ladzi sallamani wal ladzi awani wal ladzi jama'asy syamla bi

It means: "All praise be to Allah, who has saved the akau and who has protected me and who gathered me with my family."

•        Prayer Wearing Clothes

بِسْمِ اللهِ اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّى اَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ خَيْرِهِ وَخَيْرِ مَاهُوَ لَهُ وَاَعُوْذُبِكَ مِنْ شَرِّهِ وَشَرِّمَا هُوَلَهُ

Bismillaahi, Alloohumma innii as-aluka min khoirihi wa khoiri maa huwa lahuu wa'a'uu dzubika min syarrihi wa syarri maa huwa lahuu

It means: "By Thy name, O Allah, I ask thee for the goodness of this garment and what good is in it, and I take refuge in thee from the evil of this garment and the evil which is in it."

•       Prayer Wearing New Clothes

اَلْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ الَّذِىْ كَسَانِىْ هَذَا وَرَزَقَنِيْهِ مِنْ غَيْرِ حَوْلٍ مِنِّىْ وَلاَقُوَّةٍ

Alhamdu lillaahil ladzii kasaanii haadzaa wa rozaqoniihi min ghoiri hawlim minni wa laa quwwatan

It means: "All praise be to Allah who gave me this garment and gave rizeki with no effort and strength from me"

•        The Prayer of Undressing

بِسْمِ اللهِ الَّذِيْ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُوَ

Bismillaahil ladzii laa ilaaha illaa huwa

It means: "In the name of God there is no God but Him"

•        Prayer Before Dawn Prayer

Prayers Ahead of Shubuh Prayers

اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّى اَعُوْذُ بِكَ مِنْ ضِيْقِ الدُّنْيَا وَضِيْقِ يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ

Allaahumma inni a'udzubika min dzhiiqid-dunyaa wa dzhiiqi yaumal-qiyaamati

It means: "O God! Verily I take refuge in Thee from the narrowness of the world and the narrowness of the doomsday. (HR. Ashes of David)"

•   Morning Welcoming Prayer

اَللّٰهُمَّ بِكَ اَصْبَحْنَا وَبِكَ اَمْسَيْنَا وَبِكَ نَحْيَا وَبِكَ نَمُوْتُ وَاِلَيْكَ النُّشُوْرُ

Alloohumma bika ashbahnaa wa bika amsainaa wa bika nahyaa wa bika namuutu wa ilaikan nusyuuru

It means: "O God, because of Thee we experienced morning and evening time, and because of Thee we live and die and to Thee also we shall return."

•   Evening Welcoming Prayer

اَللّٰهُمَّ بِكَ اَمْسَيْنَا وَبِكَ اَصْبَحْنَا وَبِكَ نَحْيَا وَبِكَ نَمُوْتُ وَاِلَيْكَ الْمَصِيْرُ

Allahumma bika amsainaa wa bika ashbahnaa wa bika nahyaa wa bika namuutu wa ilaikal mashiir

It means: "O God, because of Thee we experienced the evening and the morning time, for thou art we live and die and to thee also we shall return."

The daily prayers in prayer that we must know and must memorize are as follows

1..Prayer after tahajud prayer

لَكَ الْحَمْدُ أَنْتَ نُوْرُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَاْلأَرْضِ وَمَنْ فِيْهِنَّ، وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ أَنْتَ قَيِّمُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَاْلأَرْضِ وَمَنْ فِيْهِنَّ، وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ أَنْتَ رَبُّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَاْلأَرْضِ وَمَنْ فِيْهِنَّ، وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ لَكَ مُلْكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَاْلأَرْضِ وَمَنْ فِيْهِنَّ، وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ أَنْتَ مَلِكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَاْلأَرْضِ، وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ، أَنْتَ الْحَقُّ، وَوَعْدُكَ الْحَقُّ، وَقَوْلُكَ الْحَقُّ، وَلِقَاؤُكَ الْحَقُّ، وَالْجَنَّةُ حَقٌّ، وَالنَّارُ حَقٌّ، وَالنَّبِيُّوْنَ حَقٌّ، وَمُحَمَّدٌ حَقٌّ، وَالسَّاعَةُ حَقٌّ، اَللّهُمَّ لَكَ أَسْلَمْتُ، وَعَلَيْكَ تَوَكَّلْتُ، وَبِكَ آمَنْتُ، وَإِلَيْكَ أَنَبْتُ، وَبِكَ خَاصَمْتُ، وَإِلَيْكَ حَاكَمْتُ. فَاغْفِرْ لِيْ مَا قَدَّمْتُ وَمَا أَخَّرْتُ، وَمَا أَسْرَرْتُ وَمَا أَعْلَنْتُ، أَنْتَ الْمُقَدِّمُ وَأَنْتَ الْمُؤَخِّرُ، لاَ إِلٰهَ إِلاَّ أَنْتَ، أَنْتَ إِلٰهِيْ لاَ إِلٰهَ إِلاَّ أَنْتَ

"Allahuma lakal hamdu Anta nuurussamaawaati wal ardli wa man fiihinna. Walakal hamdu Anta qayyimussamaawaati wal ardli wa man fihinna. Walakal hamdu Anta rabbussamaawaati wal ardli wa man fiihinna. Walakal hamdu Anta mulkussamaawaati wal ardli wa man fiihinna. Walakal hamdu Anta malikussamaawaati wal ardli. Walakal hamdu, Antal haqqu wa wa'dukal haqqu, wa qaulukal haqqu, wa liqaa ukal haqqu. Waljannatu haqqun wannaru haqqun. Wannabiyyuuna haqqun, wa Muhammadun haqqun, wassaa 'atu aqqun. Allahuma laka aslamtu. Wa 'alaika tawakkaltu, wabika aamantu, wa ilaika aan Saturday, wabia khaashamtu. Wa ilaika haakamtu. Faghfirlii maa qaddamu wa maa akhkhartu wa maa asrartu wa maa a'lantu antal muqaddimu wa antal mu akhkhiru, laa ilaa ha illaa anta ilaihi laa ilaaha illa anta."

It means: "O God, to Thee all praise, Thou art the light of heaven and earth and all thereof, for thee all praise, Thou who cares for the heavens and the earth and all thereof, for thee all thy all have, thou art lord of the heavens and the earth and all thereof, for thee all praise and all that is, for thee all praise, thou art true, thy promises are true, thy word is true, meeting with You is right, heaven is true, hell is true, (sent) the prophets are right, (sent) Muhammad is right (from You), the events of the doomsday are true. O Allah, to Thee I surrender, to Thee I am manned, to Thee I have faith, in Thee I return, with Thy help I argue (with the infidels), to Thee (and with Thy teachings) I bring down the law. Therefore, forgive my past and future sins. It is You who puts precedence and ends, no God has the right to be worshipped except You, You are my God, no God has the right to be worshipped except You."

2.Prayer after prayer witir

أَللَّهُمَّ إِنَّا نَسْاَلُكَ إِيْمَانًا دَاِئمًا وَنَسْأَلُكَ قَلْبًا خَاشِعًا وَنَسْأَلُكَ عِلْمًا نَافِعًا وَنَسْأَلُكَ يَقِيْنًا صَادِقًا وَنَسْأَلُكَ عَمَلًا صَالِحًا وَنَسْأَلُكَ دِيْنًا قَيِّمًا وَنَسْأَلُكَ خَيْرًا كَثِيْرًا وَنَسْأَلُكَ الْعَفْوَ وَالْعَافِيَةَ وَنَسْأَلُكَ تَمَامَ الْعَافِيَةِ وَنَسْأَلُكَ الشُّكْرَ عَلَى الْعَافِيَةِ وَنَسْأَلُكَ الْغِنَى عَنِ النَّاسِ أَللَّهُمَّ رَبَّنَا تَقَبَّلْ مِنَّا صَلَاتَنَا وَصِيَامَنَا وَقِيَامَنَا وَتَخَشُعَنَا وَتَضَرُّعَنَا وَتَعَبُّدَنَا وَتَمِّمْ تَقْصِيْرَنَا يَا أَللهُ يَاأَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِيْنَ وَصَلَّى اللهُ عَلَى خَيْرِ خَلْقِهِ سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَى آلِهِ وَأَصْحَابِهِ أَجْمَعِيْنَ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِيْنَ

 

Allahuma innaa nas'aluka iimaanan daaimaan, wan'asaluka qalban khaasyi'an, wanas'aluka 'ilman naafi'an, wanas'aluka yaqiinan shaadiqon, wanas'aluka 'amalan shaalihan, wanas'aluka diinan qayyiman, wanas'aluka khairan katsiran, wanas'alukal 'afwa wal'aafiyata, wanas'aluka tamaamal 'aafiyati, wanas'alukasyukra 'alal 'aafiyati, anas'alukal ghinaa'a 'aninnaasi. Allahumma rabbanaa taqabbal minnaa shalaatanaa washiyaamanaa waqiyaamanaa watakhusy-syu'anaa watadhorru'anaa wata'abbudanaa watammim taqshiiranaa yaa allaahu yaa allaahu yaa allaahu yaa arhamar raahimiin. Washallallaahu 'alaa khairi khalqihi muhammadin wa'alaa aalihi washahbihi ajma'iina, walhamdu lillaahi rabbil 'aalamiina.

It means, "O God, we ask thee, lasting faith, a solemn heart, useful knowledge, true faith, righteous charity, upright religion, many goodness. We ask Thee for forgiveness and perfect health, we ask You to be grateful for the gift of health, we ask Thee for sufficiency towards the people. O Allah, our Lord receive from us our prayers, fasting, worship, solemnity, inferiority and worship, and perfect all our shortcomings. O Allah, the Most Merciful God of all that is merciful. And may prosperity be bestowed upon His best being, Prophet Muhammad SAW, as well as his family and friends as a whole. And all praise belongs to the God of the Lord of hosts."

3.Prayer after dhuha prayer

اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنَّ الضُّحَآءَ ضُحَاءُكَ وَالْبَهَاءَ بَهَاءُكَ وَالْجَمَالَ جَمَالُكَ وَالْقُوَّةَ قُوَّتُكَ وَالْقُدْرَةَ قُدْرَتُكَ وَالْعِصْمَةَ عِصْمَتُكَ

اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنْ كَانَ رِزْقِى فِى السَّمَآءِ فَأَنْزِلْهُ وَاِنْ كَانَ فِى اْلاَرْضِ فَأَخْرِجْهُ وَاِنْ كَانَ مُعَسَّرًا فَيَسِّرْهُ وَاِنْ كَانَ حَرَامًا فَطَهِّرْهُ وَاِنْ كَانَ بَعِيْدًا فَقَرِّبْهُ بِحَقِّ ضُحَاءِكَ وَبَهَاءِكَ وَجَمَالِكَ وَقُوَّتِكَ وَقُدْرَتِكَ آتِنِىْ مَآاَتَيْتَ عِبَادَكَ الصَّالِحِيْنَ

Allahumma innad-duhaa'a duhaa'uka wal bahaa'a bahaa'uka wal jamaala jamaaluka wal quwwata quwwatuka wal-qudrota qudratuka wal 'ismata 'ismatuka.

Allaahumma in kaana rizqii fis-samaa'i fa anzilhu, wa in kaana fil ardi fa akhrijhu, wa in kaana mu'assiran fa yassirhu, wa in kaana haraaman fa tahhirhu wa in kaana ba'iidan fa qarribhu bi haqqi duhaa'ika wa bahaa'ika wa jamaalika wa quwwatika wa qudratika, aatinii maa ataita 'ibaadakash-shalihiin.

Means:

"O Allah, that the time of dluha is the time of your dluha, beauty is your beauty, beauty is your beauty, power is your power, power is your power, and that protection, your protection".

"O Allah, if my rizki is still above the heavens, bring it down .and if it is in the earth, take it out, if it is difficult to make it easy, if it is illegitimate to sanctify it, if it is still far near, the blessing of dluha time, majesty, beauty, power and power, bestow upon us all that thou hast bestowed upon thy shaleh servants".
