CONDITIONS OF BECOME A PRIMARY AND MAKMUM IN PRAYER

 

One of the conditions in congregational prayer is the presence of an imam and a congregation. Both are very important in the implementation of congregational prayers. The imam serves as a leader who leads the prayer from the beginning of the takbiratul ihram until the greeting, while the makmum is the person behind the imam who continues to follow the imam's movements until the end of the prayer. After previously knowing about the understanding, laws and virtues of praying in congregation, we will explain a little about the conditions for being an imam and a congregation and the wisdom of praying in congregation. Therefore, understand these sentences carefully!

A. REQUIREMEN-TS TO BECOME A PRAYER PRAYER

There is only one Imam in congregational prayer, the criteria are as follows:

    1. People who understand more about religious matters. The first requirement is to become a       

         congregational prayer priest who understands and understands more about religious matters.

    2. People who are more fluent in reading the Qur'an In addition to better understanding religious     

        matters, it is recommended that a person who becomes an Imam is the one who is most fluent in    

        reading the Qur'an, memorizes a lot more and understands the whole of the Qur'an and can even  

       practice it in daily life.

   3. People who are older in age Older people are more recommended to be priests who lead    

       congregational prayers, especially if he is a religious expert, fluent in reading the Qur'an.

   4. Have a noble character and not a wicked person.

   5. Standing in front of the congregation In addition to the above conditions, this one condition is also very important in congregation. The position of the imam when leading the prayer must stand in front of the congregation, so that the congregation can follow the movements of the priest in prayer.

But remember!!!!!! If a person has all of the above conditions then he is more worthy and even has to be an imam who leads congregational prayers.

B. REQUIREMENTS TO BECOME A MAKMUM

The criteria as a maximum are as follows:

     1. Intends to be a congregation A congregation when praying in congregation, he must intend to  

         become a congregation. In contrast to the Imam who is not obliged to intend to become an imam   

        except in certain prayers.

    2. Knowing and following the movements of the imam. The next condition is that the congregation   

        must know and follow all the movements of the priest. If the congregation does not know the  

       movements of the imam and does not even

       follow them, it is not said to pray in congregation.

    3. Do not precede the imam in the movement of prayer Following the movement of the priest is  

       obligatory for people in congregation as long as he does not precede the imam in his movement. If         the mother precedes 2 movements of the priest, then the prayer is invalid. together with the priest   

       then the law is makruh.

   4. Being close to the priest

   5. The Makmum is behind and does not stand more than the Imam

   6. If the priest forgets the movement or the prayer, then the male mother reminds the priest who   

      forgot  to say the lafadz ''subhanallah'' while the woman by patting the back of her left hand with             her right hand. However, it must be understood that in a book it is explained when we want to        

     remind the imam who is wrong in praying, we must intend for Allah alone. If he intends to remind         the imam then someone says his prayer is canceled

The main task of a congregation is to follow all the movements of the imam if the imam is correct in his prayers. However, remember that the imam makes many mistakes in his prayers even though he has been reminded many times by the congregation, then it is better to separate himself from the imam this event is called mufaroqoh ''.This is better than following the prayer of the wrong imam until the end.
